Commonwealth Financial Network's Darren Tedesco
Named a Top 100 IT Leader
Waltham, MA (December 6, 2012)—Darren Tedesco, Commonwealth Financial Network®’s managing principal, innovation and strategy, has been named to the 2013 Premier 100 IT Leaders list. The Premier 100, now in its 14th year, spotlights leaders from both the technology and business sides of companies for their exceptional technology leadership and innovative approaches to business challenges.
“The Premier 100 awards program showcases the exceptional work of a dedicated group of technology-savvy business leaders who are driving huge change in their organizations through IT,” said Scot Finnie, editor-in-chief of Computerworld magazine, which manages the program. “Every day, these exemplary business leaders make strategic technology decisions that track to their organizations’ top priorities. These 100 men and women keep a keen eye on the changing landscape of political, economic, regulatory, and technology trends that are driving significant shifts in IT. We are very pleased to recognize the leadership and honor the achievements of the 2013 Premier 100 honorees.”
Commonwealth maintains a longstanding commitment to developing industry-leading technology, and Tedesco is at the helm of that charge, overseeing the development of the firm’s 360º suite of advisor tools, including a sophisticated technology solution that seamlessly integrates all of an advisor’s client management information and operations.
“Darren is a driving force behind helping us deliver an intuitive, all-in-one technology framework that can actually help advisors deepen their client relationships,” said Wayne Bloom, Commonwealth CEO. “His technology leadership and vision truly exemplify Commonwealth’s client-forward™ philosophy, and we’re both proud and thrilled that he’s being recognized by the IT industry in such a significant way.”
“Our goal is to equip our advisors with technology that feels tailor-made for them—so they’re able to run their businesses with ease, efficiency, and in a way that helps them better connect with their clients,” said Tedesco. “To be acknowledged for that—and to sit alongside the caliber of leaders who receive this award—is humbling and an honor.”
Earlier this year, Tedesco was also named to InvestmentNews’s “Power 20” list of people who will have the greatest influence on financial advisors and the industry in 2012.
Tedesco will be honored, along with fellow Premier 100 recipients, in a special awards ceremony at Computerworld’s annual Premier 100 IT Leaders Conference, March 3–5, 2013, at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa in Tucson, Arizona. The conference, to be attended by more than 350 influential senior IT managers, will showcase honorees and other IT innovators as they discuss how to create competitive IT organizations.
