A weeklong orientation for new staff members designed to provide a strong foundation for their Commonwealth careers and to help them feel part of the community right from the start.

MENTOR PROGRAM

Made up of knowledgeable and insightful members of Commonwealth's leadership team, the program is designed to help employees find someone who can guide them through a career development strategy and long-term professional development.

AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

An opportunity for any staff member to learn more about another department, its functions, and its positions through that department's “ambassador.”

LUNCH & LEARN

Informal sessions open to anyone interested in learning about a particular industry subject or Commonwealth process.

TECHNOLOGY TRAINING

We work hard to make sure we attract and keep the best and the brightest. Employees can participate in the latest training in everything from Excel and Outlook to internal brokerage systems to specialized learning in becoming a Certified Usability Analyst (CUA).

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

The opportunities to add to employees' skill set and marketable talents are many and varied. We offer everything from Franklin Covey and Dale Carnegie courses to our own writing skills and project management skills workshops.

PERSONAL INTEREST

Our in-house experts share their knowledge on a variety of topics, from a primer for first-time homebuyers to self-defense workshops to classes on personal financial planning.

MANAGEMENT TRAINING

Commonwealth sponsors a series of development programs for both new and experienced managers, supervisors, and team leaders.
