Investment Advisor’s Broker/Dealer of the Year Award Every year since 1990, Investment Advisor magazine has asked readers who are financial advisors with independent broker/dealers to anonymously rate their own firms on various criteria, including overall service, technology, and payout.Those firms receiving the highest average rating from their own advisors are named Broker/Dealers of the Year in four divisions ranging from Division I, comprising firms with up to 199 producing advisors, to Division IV, comprising firms with more than 1,000 producing advisors. Commonwealth was named the top broker/dealer in its division in 1991, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, and 2005.
