Paper Suppression Available for Eco-Friendly Investors
Commonwealth Financial Network® provides option to view paper statements and confirmations exclusively online
Waltham, MA. (July 14, 2009) —Investors who work with Commonwealth Financial Network®’s financial advisors can now opt out of receiving paper account statements and trade confirmations. In June 2009, Commonwealth announced the opportunity for investors to receive e-notification when statements and confirmations are available for viewing online. More than 3,000 clients have enrolled to date.
“In a world that is increasingly conscious of environmental impact, we are pleased to provide another paperless solution that aids the environment while making clients’ lives easier,” said Darren Tedesco, vice president of innovation and strategy.
In addition to satisfying client requests to reduce paper, online viewing of statements and confirmations also creates less mail that needs to be shredded and decreases mailing costs for advisors. Advisors can also view the client documents online, as well as monitor which accounts have enrolled in e-notification.
“Most clients know they can get much more up-to-date information by simply logging in to their own personalized Web portal,” said Tedesco. “In addition, while clients have had access to online statements for almost a decade, the ability to suppress the paper statements wasn’t there.”
