Commonwealth Named Best Place to Work in Massachusetts
Waltham, Mass., (July 12, 2005) — Commonwealth Financial Network was recently named the "Best Place to Work in Massachusetts" by the Boston Business Journal, in the journal’s third annual regional awards program. The award recognizes Commonwealth’s achievements in creating a positive work environment—one that attracts and retains employees through promoting employee satisfaction, superior working conditions, and a nurturing company culture.
"Commonwealth is built on the philosophy that we are only as strong as our people," said Commonwealth Chairman and CEO Joseph Deitch, in acknowledging receipt of the award. "If we make our people stronger, we will be stronger. And our representatives are the direct beneficiaries of that strength.
"And with the best talent and the most dedicated employees in the industry, we can offer the best service in the industry," said Deitch.
Commonwealth’s staff is dedicated to providing its independent representatives with indispensable service to help them grow their practices. Each and every employee’s contribution is crucial to maintaining Commonwealth’s position as a leading independent broker/dealer that offers an unparalleled Wealth Management platform, intuitive technology tools, and guaranteed service.
Boston Business Journal editors compiled the "Best Places to Work" list based on the results of more than 18,000 employee-satisfaction surveys from over 240 companies. The surveys focused on factors such as work environment, work-life balance, job satisfaction, and advancement opportunities.
This year, the Boston Business Journal recognized the best small (20—100 employees), midsize (101—500 employees), and large (over 500 employees) companies. Commonwealth, with a staff of nearly 300, ranked number one in the midsize category. This is the second year in a row that Commonwealth has been recognized among the "Best Places to Work in Massachusetts."
Commonwealth Financial Network is the nation’s second-largest privately owned, national independent broker/dealer founded in 1979, with offices in Waltham, Mass., and San Diego, Calif. The firm supports approximately 1,000 independent registered representatives nationwide, and makes available a comprehensive array of financial products and services.
