Fact: When hiring a cleaning person, it's a good idea to hire someone who is bonded and insured. If a company bonds its employees, it is agreeing to be responsible if an employee steals from you. If the company insures its employees, it usually means that the company has liability, property damage, and/or worker's compensation insurance as well. If your housecleaner is a solo act, you may need additional worker's compensation coverage or liability coverage to protect against a claim against your personal assets.
