Trade Review Principal
The Direct Investments department is actually made up of three groups: Trade Review, Direct Investments, and the Customer Identification Program (CIP). Together they handle account approvals, conduct suitability reviews, maintain account requests, and ensure accuracy of client information.

As a trade review principal, your responsibilities would include:

• Reviewing investment business (check and application) for Commonwealth advisors investing directly with mutual fund companies, sponsor firms for annuities, and direct participation programs
• Working closely with Compliance, the Service Center, and Wealth Management throughout the review process
• Owning the Direct Investment process and ensuring that daily deadlines are met (reviewing all investments for suitability and signing off on business
• Ensuring all requirements and standards are being met by advisors and home office staff
• Having the final review and sign-off on investment applications/subscription agreements
• Developing process improvement recommendations to enhance department workflow
• Working with advisors to resolve escalated issues surrounding these investments
  

The ideal candidate would also meet the following requirements:

• FINRA Series 7, 24, 51 (or 53), and 63 (or 66) registrations required
• At least 2 years of operations/processing experience
• Familiar with the current regulatory environment as it relates to client suitability in the financial services industry
• Attention to detail that stands out as a top skill
• A desire to be responsible for tasks from beginning to end, attending to each and every detail
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral
• Able to solve problems in an efficient and professional manner
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office basics (e.g., Word, Excel)
