Retirement Sales Associate
The Retirement Consulting Services department provides advanced technical, marketing, and product-based support, as well as legislative updates, to help our advisors service and grow their retirement business.

As a retirement sales associate, your responsibilities would include:
- Logging into our phone system, up to seven hours per day, to handle inbound calls from advisors and sales assistants on a variety of retirement-related topics, from IRAs to qualified plans (e.g., 401(k)s, 403(b)s, 457s), as well as complex questions regarding distributions, portability, and plan design
- Counseling advisors on the most appropriate solution for their clients
- Assisting advisors facing a new client/prospect situation in evaluating appropriate solutions and competitive positioning
- Researching industry trends, presenting on retirement topics to home office staff, and assisting with various department projects, as needed
- Assisting advisors and team members with developing sales ideas and creating marketing campaigns and materials
The ideal candidate would also meet the following requirements:
- 3–5 years of customer service and/or sales experience in the individual and qualified retirement plan space
- Extensive knowledge of IRAs and qualified retirement plans
- Understanding of ERISA and fiduciary responsibilities and a passion for the retirement marketplace
- Familiarity with RIA model and fee-based management
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Highly skilled in communicating with advisors over the telephone
- Strong presentation skills to cover training sessions via phone, Internet, and in person
- High degree of computer literacy and database management
- BA/BS degree
- FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations, required
- AIF®, PRP, or CRPS®, preferred
