Commonwealth Advisors Receive Client Prospectus Receipts Online

Waltham, Mass. (June 29, 2006) — Registered representatives affiliated with Commonwealth Financial Network now have a faster, more efficient way to get prospectus receipts from their clients. That’s because Commonwealth has recently partnered with Prospectus Central to provide instant online access to mutual fund prospectuses, statements of additional information (SAIs), and supplements—all at no cost to the advisor.

Using Prospectus Central, Commonwealth advisors can find, download, and send up-to-date mutual fund prospectuses, SAIs, or supplements to their clients via e-mail. The client will receive a link to the prospectus and can then send back his or her “signature” of acceptance electronically.

“Prospectus Central will significantly reduce the time representatives spend tracking down the latest version of a prospectus from wholesalers,” says Darren Tedesco, Commonwealth’s director of business systems and strategic development.

Compliance solutions are integrated into the online tool, such as validation that a prospectus has been received, acknowledgment receipts that the prospectus has been viewed, and notification of all unread client e-mails.

Prospectus receipt forms and share class acknowledgment forms are automatically incorporated into the appropriate e-mails, considerably reducing the amount of paperwork in a representative’s office.

“Producing fewer hard-copy prospectuses and receipts has a positive effect on the environment, which we think clients will appreciate,” says Tedesco. “It also saves representatives money on stamps, paper, and mailing costs.”
